History

Supplying workplaces with fresh air and improving process conditions in companies was a pioneering task of LTG’s founder, Dr. Albert Klein. After his return from the USA, he founded the company “Cärrier Lufttechnische Gesellschaft Dr.-Ing. Albert Klein” in Stuttgart in 1924, initially as an engineering office for ventilation technology, which was largely unknown in Europe at the time. The first systems were realized in applications where a uniform climate led to noticeable savings in the production process, e.g. in the automotive, tobacco and later textile industries.

From the 1930s onwards, LTG expanded its business area of planning and installing innovative ventilation technology with its own production facilities. Both the product portfolio and the customer base in Europe were successfully expanded and, in addition to process air conditioning, more and more room air conditioning systems were installed, often using the induction principle developed by Dr. Klein. In the post-war years in particular, LTG grew by rebuilding or constructing new factories and administrative buildings. Engineering services, the root of the company, have been a separate business segment since 1993. The in-house laboratory is a solid basis for research and development and over 50 patents are an expression of the company’s innovative strength. In 1999, all product and development activities were bundled in LTG Aktiengesellschaft.

The company is still active on the global market today with high-quality products and customized solutions for room and process air. The core products are air-water, air diffuser and air distribution systems, fans in all common designs as well as filter and humidification systems. The main areas of application are room air conditioning, e.g. in offices, hotels, schools, museums and hospitals, but also in passenger ships, trains and other special uses as well as industrial applications in thermal, process engineering or material recovery processes and wind simulations.
