Kö-Bogen II, Düsseldorf

Nothing less than the revitalization of an entire inner-city district was the task that was tackled with the redesign of Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz.

The Kö-Bogen II commercial and office building was built right in the heart of Düsseldorf’s city center over a 3-year construction period until 2020.

The architects ingenhoven architects, CENTRUM Projektentwicklung and the planning office Dr. Bleiker brought LTG Aktiengesellschaft on board to meet the high acoustic and thermal requirements for office use.

Flexible office space planning was implemented using our new Connected Intelligence control system. This LTG control concept enables flexible office space utilization from the design planning stage through to user requirements. With our control system, we were able to reduce the costs of the data points by around 50%.

The new Kö-Bogen II commercial and office building has a total of 41,370 m² of accessible space.

In addition to the location and the Polis Award-winning design, a particular highlight of the project is the largest green façade in Europe. We are very proud of this lighthouse project with 320 Fan coil units (VKB) incl. our decentralized control concept Connected Intelligence successfully.
